South Shore Children's Dentistry

meet the doctors

The Sunshine Team

Meet the doctor moms who make South Shore Children’s Dentistry so special. Whether it’s them or any of our clinical team, all of our professionals pursue continued education to maintain the highest level of accreditation and expertise. And all know what it means to chase after nimble toddlers, clean up spilled milk every morning, and repeatedly answer the infamous question, “why?”.

Kristine Grazioso Headshot

Kristine A. Grazioso, DMD

Dr. Grazioso (a.k.a. Dr. G) is a 1988 graduate of Boston College, where she received her B.S. in Biology, and a 1993 graduate of The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where she was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Grazioso received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, in 1996. She served as Chief Dental Resident and received numerous awards for excellence in Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery.

Dr. G founded SSCD in 1999 – and all these years later, she still enjoys every part of being a pediatric dentist and running a small independent business. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. An activist within her profession, she is involved in grassroots efforts on the state and national level to promote issues important to dentistry and to the patients she serves.

In addition to believing that it takes a village in the local community, Dr. G also likes to participate in global outreach. She has been fortunate enough to travel to Ethiopia and Haiti with her family to provide medical services to underserved communities. She hopes to continue to spread light and love at home and around the globe for many years to come.

Dr. G currently resides in Marshfield with her husband, Henry, and their sons, Alex and Nicholas. In her spare time, she loves to travel, do CrossFit, and spend days at the beach with her family and friends.

Anne R. Kuczma, DMD

Dr. Anne Kuczma (a.k.a. Dr. K), a Rhode Island native, graduated in 1998 from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Zoology. After first working as an environmental scientist, she decided to make a career change into Dentistry. She then attended and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2007. As a student, she received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Public Health Dentistry, and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology predoctoral awards. In addition to those honors, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. (Holy moly is she a smarty pants…)

Special needs patients hold a near and dear place in Dr. K’s heart. In 2009, she completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital Boston where she conducted research on the oral health of children with cerebral palsy. Dr. Kuczma is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. K is mom to three young kids. When she’s not in scrubs, you can find her at a gymnastics meet, on a soccer or baseball field, or volunteering at various community programs.

Dr. K lives in Norwell with her husband, Damian, and children Callan, Andrew, and Bridget. In her free time, she loves being active with running and swimming, and most enjoys spending time with her family.

Margaret Choi, DMD - South Shore Children’s Dentistry

Margaret Choi, DMD

Dr. Margaret Choi (a.k.a. Dr. Maggie), graduated from the University of California San Diego with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, she continued her passion for biomedical research in developing a novel gene therapy for patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Soon after, she attended and graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors in community oral health from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She then completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. Her research on the “Longevity of Permanent tooth restorations in Children with Special Healthcare Needs” received the graduate student research award during the annual AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) conference. Dr. Maggie is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Maggie has lived in multiple states and countries growing up – born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, grew up in North Potomac, Maryland and Seoul, South Korea, attended high school and college in Southern California, before looping back to the East coast for graduate school. Naturally, she picked up hobbies that could cover all seasons, such as golf (she played varsity golf throughout high school and seriously considered playing professionally) and snowboarding.

Dr. Maggie recently got married, and lives in Boston with her husband, Jon. She loves zumba, indoor cycling, and exploring new places to eat (she is a huge foodie!).
